I thought at first that maybe potato chip day was an offbeat way to celebrate St. Paddy's Day and the Irish but that is today which is the 17th. But I do love potatoes in any shape or form:D

I didn't realise they had a special day dedicated to crisps. I thought every day in America was simply potato chip day.. :)

I was wondering when you were going to post a potato chip canape, ever since you commented on my potato chip canape with salmon mousse and caviar for the Oscars (

This recipe looks and sounds delicious! I can't wait to try it. Thanks!!!

hey paula, yes, i had made this a while back... it's shocking how little time i have for blogging at the moment! but finally - there you are!

Thans for sharing your recipe, It looks great, I love your blog. I will be trying your Sweet corn and avocado salsa.

I love your canapé posts, Johanna. They're always so elegant and well-considered. (Both posts and pictures!)

One day I'll actually hold the canapé and drinks party that I dream of...

I'm surprised it's not the UK that has potato chip day because let's face it - we have the BEST selection of flavours in the world (I'd like to shake the hand of the man who devised Thai green curry crisps...) :)

These look heavenly - can we have them next time we cater a canape party?!

you know what, jeanne, my absolute favourite at the moment are poppodums with coriander and lime chutney - heaven!!!

I agree whole-heartedly with Freda - just want to try them out now and hold a soiree! Champagne and scallops anyone?!

Wow, I would so love to try these. I am the only one in my home who would eat them - I'll have to show this to my neighbor and see if she would try this with me. :)
Thanks for sharing this - these look so good

Hm, maybe there's a potato chip day because not nearly enough potato chips are eaten in the US. Wait, no, that can't be right!

This is genius. Such a fun change from your basic bread-type base.

Johanna,I confess, I've only skimmed the post, I just keep going back to salivate over the pic.

potato chip day..never heard about this..we recently came to U.S...recipe sounds gorgeous...i will try it....

Oh, I can't wait until we get a chance to make seafood at school (I'm a culinary school student). These days, we're just finishing chicken. But when we do move on, I want to get my hands on some plump scallops - enticing!

From the US, and never heard of potato chip day until I read this. Either someone's putting you on (joking with you), or it's "celebrated" by a very limited sub-set of Americans...
