In Brazil we eat a lot of chimichurri in barbecues and steaks. This Argentinian sauce is loved and made in many different versions. I make it less chilli, the same perfume but less burning. I have sympathy for vegetarianism but I am a carnivorous person myself.

Happy new year.

Great photo...again...!

Have a great new year!

Chimichurri is one of my all time favorite condiments. It brings a wonderful fresh flavor to a grilled steak. I'm with you, it goes great with many thing.

Happy New Year Johanna!

Mmmm, chimichuri! It's one of those things that I always have when I'm not at home - in a restaurant, at a friend's house or wherever. And then I feel guilty when you describe how easily I could be making it myself ;-) Will definitely give that a try. Yummy pic. Happy new year to you!

James

Great post Johanna, thank you for turning me on to this delicious sauce.

I had to chuckle at the idea of a vegetarian coming out of Austria. I was raised vegetarian, but when I moved to Austria as a student I started eating schnitzel and wurst!

Happy New Year to you too!

Antonia

Oh that photo is making my mouth water! I wish that I had this for dinner tonight rather than leftovers from last night's casserole. I love chimmichuri but have only ever had it in restaurant - thank you for sharing this great recipe so that I can try it at home.

I have never made chimichurri w/ cilantro, only with fresh parsley.
I will try your recipe for my grilled hanger steak! thank you!
