I dont think the 25th is a long enough time - lets extend until the end of the month.

The hairy hikers look as well fed as the hairy bikers. I've recently seen their tv show and loved it.

Most gorgeous lake and mountains!! They do look well fed and well happy..!

I love Austria! So beautiful! I hike one of the mountains there with a friend of mine and also did biking up the mountain top and down again. Beautiful memories for me.

Is that Gmunden am Traunsee?
The hiker in shorts has nice "stramme Wadln"! ;-)

close, dorothee - the bikers are in koenigssee (germany), the picture above is the view from the salt mines in Hallstatt, i am not 100% sure in which direction, but looking at a map, it must be towards obertraun. i love gmunden, though, have an aunt in altmuenster, with a view of traunstein - a beautiful sight to behold. for me, the hallstaettersee is less spoilt, though, and therefore one of the most beautitful in austria!

Yep, I just thought that Gmunden doesn't have this many mountains in the back... I completely forgot about the Hallstädter See, I spent 2 weeks there years ago. Well, I actually spent an afternoon at the Hallstädter See, which was the only sunny time we had. The rest was rain on 14 days out of 2 weeks. We stayed in Gosau at the Gosausee, and boy, we found a lot of Steinpilze!

My grandma was born at Almsee, near Grünau (her birth house is still standing). If you happen to be in the area, go to "Deutsches Haus" to eat! It's a really nice place, and the Almsee is just beautiful. Very quiet though, and no chance for mobile phone reception!
