I'll have to admit it: the best thing about hosting the EBBP event (apart from getting in contact with so many of lovely bloggers out there) is that you can choose who to send to and, much more importantly, who to receive from! I know this is a tad unfair, but believe me, I try and put the same effort into matching you up with your respective "partners"...
Among the French foodblogs I follow, Ô délices has for a long time been one of my favourites: gorgeous photography (with a seemingly interminable supply of fine crockery, table linen and other props), intriguing recipes and the organisation of foodie gatherings, Marie-Laure is very much a woman of my own heart! Not too long ago, she suprised everybody (well, certainly me) by announcing that she had just published not one, but four cookbooks! And without beating her own drums in the months leading to it... I like that kind of modesty.
So I had firm plans to buy one of her books the next time I was in France, but she beat me to the chase and I actually received the one about cakes (the other editions are on spaghetti, "Bollyfood" (Indian dishes) and Asian recipes) with my parcel the other day... and what can I say, it's a really stunning book (even more so considering its RRP of six Euros) with a really appealing design and gorgeous and mouthwaterings pictures with every single recipe. I will certainly be trying some of the recipes very soon.
But that wasn't all, of course... I also got something to satisfy my massive healthy insatiable appetite: a honey gingerbread (which is more of a loaf cake than anything else and certainly works a treat with your cup of afternoon tea), two gourmet chocolate bars (one cherry & sesame crunch, which sadly is no more and the other one ginger-flavoured), a home-made (!) chestnut purée and two ingredients for cooking after her own recipes: an Indian dessert using tapioca and the violet-scented meringues which feature in her book. What a bounty... Thanks, Marie-Laure!
Cherry sesame crunch?? OMG, no wonder it is no more. Sounds like heaven. What a great parcel!

What a great pack! And today I got mine too, so double reason for me to celebrate! See my blog...
Can you please inform Karin? I do not have her email and I cannot post comments on her blog since I am not registered as a blogger for her site... Danke danke...

Looks like you picked a winner! Not going to let you host again if you keep hogging the best bits ;-)
Mind you my parcel was rather special too; in fact I havent seen a duff one at all. Euro-bloggers rule!
Seriously; thanks for hosting and organising. Think January will be about the right time for another round dont you?
