Since my brother is visiting at the moment, I don't have much time for posting - I've been doing a lot of cooking, though, so I thought I'd share with you what's coming up.
On Saturday, we had an entire meal consisting of amuse-bouche size dishes only, some of them amazing, some of them great and one quite disppointing. I'll be giving you the low-down on all of them soon, but here's the menu to enjoy while you're waiting:
Velouté of sweet potato and coconut with sweet potato crisps
Langoustine and trout roe with a lemongrass consommé
Beef tartare with quails egg, capers and garlic crisps
Scallop on vitelotte purée with a truffle-sherry vinaigrette
Shitake-filled beef fillet in fillo pastry with aubergine caviar
Individual white chocolate & ginger cheese cakes with exotic fruits
I used three of my recent cookbook purchases for reference: From the Boathouse, Kim Kocht and Amuse-Bouche. Stay tuned for some mouth-watering recipes!
Liebe Johanna!
Alles Liebe, Martina
