That's it guys, I'm off.
Taking a ferry to France (Bretagne) in the evening and really looking forward to a relaxing holiday!
I shall emerge only once, to contribute to the 7th instalment of the IMBB event "You're just the cutest little dumpling" on the 22nd of August, and for the rest of the two weeks of our vacation I will enjoy the beautiful countryside, breathtaking coastline and mouth-watering markets. I also intend to taste once more all the traditional foods of Brittany, crêpes and galettes, far breton, kouing-aman, and loads of fresh seafood, of course!
Expect me back at the beginning of September, with a suitcase full of great ideas and even more suitcases brimming with delicious ingredients for upcoming recipes...

Hi Jo,
Enjoy your vacation. Wonder in which part of Britanny you are.

we stayed in central britanny, first near st. nicholas du pelem, then near josselin. travelled around a lot though to visit all this lovely area has to offer: cote du granit rose, quiberon peninsula, the rough coastline of the westernmost parts, the menhirs and dolmen of the south and all those quaint little villages with their adorable warped timber-framed houses. Goes without saying that we spent most of our time eating, especially the glorious seafood, but - very much against what we expected - we did not even put on any weight, despite eating from dusk till dawn!
