Waiter, there's something in my... Terrine! - the round-up

Buttonjanuary_grey_200 When I chose the theme for the January edition of "Waiter, there's something in my...", it was in the good effort to finally overcome my fear of making a proper (read: meat-based) terrine. I do enjoy eating them, especially when foie gras is involved, and these little earthenware pots of terrines are also pretty much the only way I tolerate liver. But it was not to be, I succumbed to the pressures of my own hectic schedule and ended up making something I was more familiar with: a vegetarian one.

Who would have thought, though, that the majority of bloggers out there would go for a meat-free alternative? You wouldn't believe the vast array of creations that featured vegetables, fruit and even (god forbid) chocolate! Also very popular was a frozen incarnation, which is just as well, seeing that the least thing the Southern hemisphere needs this time of the year is to have the oven going at full steam for several hours!

So here you have it: a summary of the most delicious terrine creations you gifted foodbloggers around the world have come up with... thanks for participating and watch out for the next round, this time hosted by Andrew of SpittoonExtra!

Great job on the roundup - I'm excited to try so many of these! I'm off to check out the mac and cheese right now.

Did something happen to my earl grey and bittersweet chocolate terrine? I don't see it. :(

marye, i can't click through to the URL you provided - please resend correct info by email and i'll add you.

eliza, sure enough never recievd the link as i would remember a chocolate brownie terrine for sure - will be adding you straight away!

Johanna, great round up! So many fun recipes to try. Thanks for all the work you did putting it together!

Hi Johanna,

could it be that the spittoonextra link is incorrect?
Not sure if I missed the news or if you just didn´t write about it, but I think I saw you´re one of the Küchengötter people now. Congrats!

audrey, the link to spittoon works fine on my end... and yes, thanks, i'm writing for kuechengoetter.de once a month now, which is a great experience. i am not banging on about it too much, haven't mentioned it, since it's in german and you're one of the few people who'll be able to understand it... let me know what you think of my contributions!

I´ll definitely let you know (didn´t have too much time to read through all of it, yet)!

About the link: I think it works if I change .com to .biz - otherwise I get the information, that the owner sells this domain. Weird!
Thanks anyway!

I have never made a terrine. After this, what excuse could I possible have? What an amazing variety!

Well done for creating such an inspiring challenge and all your hard work with the round up.

Great round up, and great terrines!

What a lovely bunch of entries! Thanks for the round up.

What a great looking roundup. And what a lot of terrines for me to try. Where to start? The beetroot/mint one is calling to me (unlike you, I adore beets!) but so are so many of the others!

-Elizabeth

P.S. The link to Andrew's site isn't working for me either. But this one is:
