I'm glad you liked Tom's Kitchen. Some of the recent London bistros seem to me quite cynical, serving up very cheap ingredients but still charging quite high prices (I found the hyped Arbutus an offender here). However Tom's Kitchen seems to use good ingredients and they even make their own bread. A detailed review of my experience is on www.andyhayler.com

andy, I couldn't agree more. it's becoming increasingly difficult to seperate the wheat from the chaffe... and i share your feelings about arbutus, don't understand the hype at all!
