Announcing the 3rd round of Euro-Blogging By Post

Calling all Foodbloggers in Europe!
After Andrew's admirable initiative to bring BBM to Europe, I have the honour and pleasure to be hosting this event in its 3rd instalment, scheduled for the weekend of the 7th/8th January 2006. I know you have all been waiting for this very patiently, we didn't really want to do it in December to avoid parcels being caught up in a backlog of Christmas mail or getting lost somewhere on the way, so you have until the new year to tie up your CARE packet for a fellow foodie somewhere in Europe.
Given that we are all suffering from the very cold and miserable weather, I have chosen "Comfort Me" as our theme - what are the flavours you like to envelop yourself on a miserable winter day or after a long and chilly afternoon walking through the woods? What tickles your tastebuds when you fall into that comfy sofa with a good book?
The plan is for you to send:

• a recipe for comfort food that you enjoy making
• along with any ingredients needed for it (if not readily available)
• anything heart-warming that you like to eat/drink when you cuddle up in front of the fireplace
• something home made

Feel free to add some left-over Christmas cookies and remember: COMFORT, COMFORT, COMFORT!So if you would like to make somebody very happy somewhere in Europe, send me an email with your postal address and any allergies/dislikes that might apply - I will be the match-maker and send you an address before the New Year. The deadline for submitting your participation is the 24th of December. So remember, remember the 24th of December!

PS: You don't need to send loads! 3-4 items are fine, remember that if someone isn't home they'll have to collect at the post office and not everybody owns a pick-up truck!
